Overview 

My name is Dave Hohenthal and I have been a high school history teacher for over 22 years - the last 16 here at Jefferson High School. I am looking forward to encouraging your son's/daughter's interest in history.

My teaching philosophy is to provide a structured and tolerant environment in which to work and learn, to share my enthusiasm for and interest in history, and to expect students to take ownership of their own education - to be responsible for learning as much of the material presented as possible.

If your son/daughter experiences any problems during the year relating to my class please encourage them to speak to me - or do so yourselves - so that I can take steps to address the situation.
